Is it it possible to record Outgoing calls made via Callthru. Extension has this nice feature to record incoming and outgoing.

ya, there are directions here on how to setup a callthru with a loopback extension. Just set recording on the loopback extension.

I tried to setup a varios way callthru with a loopback extension. and set recording on the loopback extension.
It did not work, call went through as normal...recording is shown in loopback extension only for 00.00.01 second. although the talk was about 10 second.Something wrong. may be slight bug..in the system to handle and record loopback extension.

I am in dire need of this feature, request you to provide recording on callthru, tried all combination not possible.

The best option to provide in Inbound Routing with an option similar like in Extension.

I posted yesterday, but now do not find where my posting gone. and even the reply of Moderator Diafora posted about 3 week before about same thread where he replied to look into this issue to resolve, is missing too.

Yes..you are right, I am talking about the same thing but for Recording Inbound Routing calls . But I partially used as mentioned in http://www1.pbxes.com/forum/thread.php?threadid=270. for this purpose.
The loopback extension recording was not successful as I posted following.

I suggested to provide an option similar like in Extension Record Incoming & Record Outgoing for Inbound Routing Setup under OPTIONS menu

I tried this as well, but was not successful.

1. Callthru using a loopback extension
- Loopback was detected by system and the loop was disconnected.

2. Using conference to call one of the recording extension
- anytime a digit is pressed in a conference, the conference is dropped and goes to that dialed extension. However, this means I can NOT dial digits to the receiving end's IVR system.
- i.e. Only works for non-IVR phone system on the other side

At the end, I had to create a specific classic extension to call this certain company, and enable recording on the extension. This obviously has 2 limitations: a) it can only be outgoing call, and b) it can only be this company.

Are there any other options/suggestions? Thanks a lot!

Is it true that a call-thru call does not recognize special codes such as "*1" for recording, or "##" for transfer?
